Brazil's Maracana wants to pay tribute to Messi

World football was dominated by European football for 16 years. Argentina raised the flag of Latin football by ending it at the World Cup in Qatar. And it has become possible thanks to the Argentinian little wizard named Lionel Messi.

The famous Maracana stadium in Brazil wants to have Messi's footprint in its hall of fame as Latin football is re-enthroned. That's why Neymar's country invited Messi. Messi's footprint will be left in the hall of fame of the iconic stadium there.

The Rio de Janeiro state sports superintendent in charge of the Maracana said they sent the letter of invitation to Messi through the Argentine Football Association.

In that letter, the company's president Adriano Santos wrote, 'Messi has already signed his talent on and off the field. Who has been at the highest level in football history for years. There could be no more fitting tribute to someone like him at the Maracana. Because Messi is a genius on the ball.

The Maracana has housed the footprints of legends before. Among those whose feet spread the smell of football, there are the footprints of Brazilian legends Pele, Garrincha and Ronaldo. Chile's Figueroa, Serbia's Petkovic, Portugal's Eusebio, Uruguay's Sebastian Abreu and German legend Franz Beckenbauer also made it to the top.
