CULLMAN COUNTY, AL — A home in Crane Hill, Ala., on Smith Lake has been chosen by Condé Nast Traveler as the "coolest Airbnb in Alabama."
Condé Nast Traveler chose the best Airbnb in each state and the District of Columbia, and made the choices based on which homes "represent the coolest of American cool—aesthetically, architecturally, and A-plus hospitality." Every listing featured on the list is run by a Superhost with a 4.8 rating or higher.
"The four-bedroom contemporary log cabin puts a more refined spin on #lakelife Pinterest boards, trading cliché anchors and oars for a neutral color palette and luxurious linens," the travel magazine says about the home. "In addition to its dockside perch on Lake Smith, the wraparound porches, media center with a 60-inch TV, and rec room with a pool table make this a desirable retreat for up to 12 guests."
The home in Crane Hill, which rents for a minimum of $944 per night, also features a dock with two levels for sunbathing, lounging and grilling. Renters are welcome to bring their own boat.
Condé Nast Traveler's list of coolest Airbnbs includes a Bywater mansion in New Orleans dating back to the 1880s, and a prefab metal caterpillar dome house in Detroit.
